Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
It has to be the Four Seasons Resort Maldives At Landaa Giraavaru. Nothing quite compares to waking up in heaven every day, with the beaches so white that you are almost blinded, the sea so warm and clear that you feel as if you are in an aquarium and a villa with a private pool with service that exceeds your every requirement.

What's your oddest travel moment?
My strangest travel moment would be when I was travelling around Guatemala and had been dropped off a block from my hotel. I walked up this steep road and opened the gate to the hotel but there was nobody there - no reception and no guests. I opened one of the rooms and laid down for around thirty minutes and thought how strange this was - but decided to go exploring. I went outside the hotel to look for people and looked up to realise that I had in fact gone to the wrong hotel and mine was across the road. So, before I got arrested for breaking and entering, I grabbed my stuff and ran across the road!

Have you had a perfect travel moment?
My perfect travel moment would be when I went to Ras Al Khaimah and the Maldives on holiday. I was fortunate enough to stay in the beautiful Banyan Tree Al Wadi, sitting on top of a minaret drinking mint tea in the middle of the desert, whilst watching a million stars, took my breath away. I then moved on to the Maldives where by chance I met a marine biologist who was going out on an expedition to track the manta ray. I was fortunate enough to spend the day with her observing and swimming with these amazing creatures, I had to keep on surfacing to clear my goggles from the tears of joy.

What are your suitcase essentials?
My suitcase essentials would be my iPhone charger, a first-aid kit and pretty much everything I can pack. Even though I have travelled so much I have never mastered packing and am definitely the one to come to if you have forgotten something as I' m sure I will have two.

Where's next on your wishlist?
The Atacama Desert, salt flats, fjords, glaciers and Torres del Paine National Park in Chile is top of my wishlist at the moment. I have not managed to explore South America as much as I would like to yet but having visited Peru, this has now given me the bug to go back and see more of what this amazing continent has to offer.
