Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
A very hard question as I have been fortunate enough to stay in some amazing places. For pure luxury it has to be Sandals la source in Grenada. The accommodation is incredible, the staff fantastic and you can never want for anything. However, Hong Kong is simply a magical place with gorgeous food, amazing people and simply breathtaking views especially from Victoria Peak.
What's your oddest travel moment?
It has to be on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro in 2014. I was lucky enough to be there during the World Cup and the atmosphere was simply incredible. It was quite odd if you think about it as everyone from all over the world was coming together in celebration communicating with each other yet not sharing a common language. I’m still not quite sure how someone ended up on my shoulders!
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
For me it has to be watching the sunset in Singapore on top of the wonderful Marina Bay Sands overlooking the city from the perfect vantage point. Watching the buildings lights twinkle into life was mesmerising and you could sense that every single person on that rooftop was transfixed on the scene unfolding before them. I’ve been back numerous occasions since and it’s been as special every single time.
What are your suitcase essentials?
I truly believe that the only thing you’ll ever need in your suitcase is a camera. Everything else there is a way around it if you don’t have it but you need something to capture those perfect moments that you can then share with friends & family.
Where's next on your wishlist?
The world seems to be getting bigger and bigger as I add more are more places to my list. If I had to go tomorrow I think I’d have to pick Malaysia. The Petronas Towers have been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, the Green land and the crystal blue sea of Langkawi looks stunning and then jetting over to Borneo to visit the orangutans is massively appealing to me.
