Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
There are so many to chosen from! Firstly I have to say Raffles in Singapore is my number one. Such an iconic hotel with so much history around every corner, it’s got the real wow factor. Sipping on Singapore Slings in the Long bar while throwing monkey-nut shells all over the floor brings you back in time, to what feels like the 1930’s. Another hotel that particularly stands out for me is The Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah. Waking up to the still waters of the Palm and a direct view of the Burj Al Arab is what sold it for me. This hotel oozes luxury!
What's your oddest travel moment?
My oddest travel moment is also one of my favourites…Swimming with the pigs in the Bahamas. Pulling up in the boat to an island filled with pigs and piglets is an unforgettable and bizarre sight… and they are HUGE! It was hilarious to watch them run in and out of the sea, splashing around and chasing you for food. I could have swum with them for hours! If it wasn’t weird enough to swim with pigs, a few minutes later on the boat & we were at a different island, covered in iguanas! Not to mention all the sharks and fish we saw along the way, a complete sea safari and one I would highly recommend!
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
Walking through Central Park in the snow and watching the ice skaters (not skating myself as I am awful at it). With all the snow and the horse drawn carriages scooting past I really felt like I was in a Christmas film.
What are your suitcase essentials?
Fluffy socks for the flight are a must for me. I always get chilly on the plane and there’s nothing better than a pair of warm socks! And my camera, to capture all those amazing holiday moments
Where's next on your wishlist?
The list is ever extending. But if I had to choose it would be South Africa. I would love to experience a safari and see the ‘big five’.
