Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
Mauritius has to be up there with one of my favourites. Me and my partner stayed in the Ambre Resort and Spa nestled between the coral reef lagoon and tropical gardens east of the island in Bell Mare. From island hopping on a catamaran, swimming with wild dolphins, horse riding through the luscious national park of Domaine de L'Etoile, sea walking, quad biking and zip lining through the oasis of La Vallee des Couleurs national park and discovering the stunning 23 colours of the basin blanc of the erupted volcano, parasailing and much more. Truly a unforgettable and magical holiday.
What's your oddest travel moment?
This would have to be when I was living in Australia. Me and my friends randomly decided we were going to go to our local hang out (Chinese Laundry) in Sydney. which is where I met my partner and turns out he lives in Chelmsford only half an hour away from where I live in the UK. How small the world felt at that moment. I carried on my travels with him around Australia and South East Asia. 3 years later were still together and we are now proud owners of our first home to continue building and making many more memories
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
So many perfect moments but one that I cherish the most was when me and my partner was snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef around Green Island. We were just about to get out of the sea when my partner shouts 'TURTLE' I go paddling over as quick as I can and there he was a beautiful green sea turtle. We swam with the turtle for a good half hour being able to stroke and glide through the sea with him. It felt like we were the only ones in the ocean. An incredible experience I will never forget.
What are your suitcase essentials?
A hat is must with long days exploring new places in high heats, a camera to capture endless memories and sudocrem for those pesky mosquito bites.
Where's next on your wishlist?
My ever growing list is getting longer but I would love to go to Madagascar and trek through the jungle to discover some of the world's rarest animals
