Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
The best place I have stayed has to be The Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe. It is a stunning Edwardian-Style hotel with amazing views of Victoria Falls and the bridge. We sat out in the gardens drinking cocktails overlooking the bridge which was illuminated in purple lights! Definitely one for the bucket list.
What's your oddest travel moment?
The moment that really sticks in my mind is when my friend and I were travelling around Thailand. We spent a night in the middle of a forest. As we arrived the only way I can describe the accommodation would be two wooden sheds with mattresses on the floor and mosquito nets hanging from the ceiling! They were communal rooms with about 10 people per room but my friend and I were taken to a separate building where we would be staying. Our accommodation was away from the others and was a wooden room on stilts. There was a large gap between the walls and the roof and the room was full of bugs! We tucked ourselves into the mosquito nets for the night and dreaded to think what we were sharing the room with. Safe to say we didn’t sleep very well that night..
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
My perfect travel moment so far has got to be the evening I spent by the flood-lit waterhole at Okaukuejo Resort in Etosha National Park. I am a total animal lover so I love any travel that involves wildlife. We were sat at the waterhole for hours with a drink in hand watching a huge herd of elephants, rhinos, hyenas and giraffe right in front of us!
What are your suitcase essentials?
I haven’t quite mastered the art of packing light yet and tend to take everything bar the kitchen sink! However, I couldn’t be without my music and camera. I love taking pictures when I am away and always listen to music on long flights.
Where's next on your wishlist?
The more I travel the more my bucket list expands. Next on my wish list would have to be Bali. Friends and family that have been can’t speak highly enough of it so I would love to experience it for myself
