Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
Manteray Island on the Yasawaa Islands in Fiji – From the moment I arrived the Fijian residents were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. As we stepped off the boat they sang one of their traditional songs and gave us there local tipple. The Island was absolutely stunning, I have never to this day seen clearer sea then that spot in Fiji.
What's your oddest travel moment?
It has to be when we were walking around a temple in Cambodia and a monkey grabbed my bag, opened it and started chucking everything out. The monkey then started unpeeling my banana ate it, then unscrewed my water and drank that too!! It’s the most scary but hilarious thing I have ever seen. The thought of it still makes me chuckle now!
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
My perfect travel moment has to be camping on an unrestored section of the Great Wall of China. The hike was long and tiring in the scoring heat, but once we got to the top the view certainly did not disappoint. We walked along several sections of the wall with no other tourists in site, and were treated to a magnificent sunset. In the evening we roasted marshmallows, while being mesmerised by the campfire in the darkness.
What are your suitcase essentials?
Defiantly my camera, I could never travel anywhere without it to capture all those special moments to look back on forever. I also like to travel with a good book for the journey and beach days.
Where's next on your wishlist?
There are so many wonderful places I would still love to visit, and the more places I visit the list gets even longer from hearing other people’s travel stories! I have always wanted to visit Costa Rica as I have a friend from there who is always telling me how amazing his country is. It is defiantly my style of holiday as well with a mixture of beautiful beaches, rainforest and plenty of adventurous activities.
