Where's the best place you've ever stayed?

The InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa. It is quite literally heaven on earth! I spent the second week of my honeymoon there and stayed in a water villa that was bigger than my house. Every single aspect of the villa, the hotel, the grounds and the island was perfect. My only regret was not getting married there.

What's your oddest travel moment?

I think my most surreal moment was probably being on an elephant trek in the golden triangle in Thailand. We were on a cliff top and sat on an elephant who was quite literally balancing our lives on a metre-wide path for what seemed like an eternity. He slipped a couple of times and things got a little hairy, but we felt that he understood how focussed he needed to be.

Have you had a perfect travel moment?

My most perfect moment was when my new husband and I were on our yacht transfer from the airport in Bora Bora to our hotel. The sky was clear, the scenery was immensely beautiful and the main island rose out of the water and shimmered in the sunlight. It all felt so magical - so much so that I started to cry!

What are your suitcase essentials?

For me, there is nothing more important than my once a day factor 50 sunscreen. I am very fair skinned and don't want the hassle of having to stop what I am doing, and reapplying sun cream all day. Once I am out and in the moment, I can relax, safely in the knowledge that I am protected and able to enjoy the experience.

Where's next on your wishlist?

There are so many places still to be explored. I think my top five places still to see on my list are Brazil, the Seychelles, Vietnam , China and my ultimate - Antarctica

"Michelle, our travel advisor, was extremely helpful and made the experience a pleasure."

Michelle was lucky enough to start travelling from a young age with her parents. As she grew older, she realised that not only did she have the travel bug, but she was addicted, dreaming of all the amazing countries to explore and discover.
