Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
I’ve had the chance to visit so many amazing countries but Bali is the place that really stands out for me. We were in the heart of busy Seminyak with mopeds and car horns beeping all day long. Although our hotel was off a dusty side street, it was like walking into a luxurious tranquil palace and was the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of Bali life.
What's your oddest travel moment?
Definitely seeing some young boys in Cambodia eat a selection of spiders, snakes and scorpions. They were on a street corner trying to sell them to tourists, we weren’t so keen on trying them but one boy in particular seemed to enjoy chomping on a tarantula leg.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
Would have to be getting up at 4am in Cambodia to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat temple. Although there was hundreds of people there to witness it too, it was so peaceful and beautiful. I’ll never forget it.
What are your suitcase essentials?
The first would have to be cooling mist, there’s nothing better than being in a hot, humid climate and refreshing your skin with something cold. And Aloe Vera, great for sunburn, moisturiser and antiseptic for any mozzy bites.
Where's next on your wishlist?
Japan has been top of my list for a while now. The country, the people and the food, fascinate me. I would love to spend some time in Tokyo then get the bullet train to Kyoto and feed the deer in cherry blossom season where everywhere is covered in pink petals.
