Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
The best place I have stayed so far is Rivera Maya in Mexico. The hotel was set right on the white sandy beach looking out across the clear blue sea with the island of Cozumel in the distance. The service was outstanding, everyone was so friendly and really couldn’t do enough for you. I loved how I could combine luxury with culture and visited Chichen Izta one of the new wonders of the world which was breath taking.
What's your oddest travel moment?
My oddest travel moment would have to be my trip to Havana Cuba. I was staying in Guardalavaca so to see Havana, which is a must for anyone visiting Cuba, I had to take an internal flight. It was like another world stepping into a tiny shell of a plane with the pilot almost sat directly in front of you and only had one member of cabin crew which served us a drink of fizzy lemonade. It was a bumpy ride which we had to hold on tight with but lots of fun and an experience which me and my husband still reminisce about now.
What are your suitcase essentials?
Sun cream and Aloe Vera after sun - I do like relaxing by the pool and catching those rays. Always a camera I forgot this once so bought one at the airport! I take loads of photos and love looking over them year after year reminiscing about the amazing time I had. Comfortable shoes are essential as I love exploring off of the beaten track and do a lot of walking.
Where's next on your wishlist?
There are so many but definitely the Far East in particular Malaysia. I would love to experience the hustle and bustle of busy Kuala Lumpur and then go and relax on a beach taking in the beautiful tranquil setting. Really having the best of both worlds.
