Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
Visiting Rio De Janiero was an experience of a lifetime, and offered a real taste of Brazilian culture. In the space of a day I did a tour of Rio, saw Christ The Redeemer, ate authentic local food and ended my evening sat the world famous Copacabana beach sipping on a Caipirinha (Famous Brazilian cocktail). Rio certainly doesn’t lack new and exciting things to do, not to mention all of the locals are welcoming, friendly and full of spirit!
What's your oddest travel moment?
My most strange and out there travel moment for me has to be when I visited Tokyo for the first time. We all know Japan is renowned for its unique and whacky inventions and ideas, which made it incredibly hard to decide how we were going to spend our day. Would we go and visit Tokyo Central? Would we go to Disneyland? We eventually came across public road go-karting where it was compulsory to dress up in Mario costumers and go-kart all around the city. And there we were, all 7 of us dressed up as Mario characters following a tour guide in a go-kart, driving all around Tokyo, I still laugh thinking about it.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
My perfect travel moment was experienced when I was in New York. It was my first time to New York and in fact it was my first time visiting such a large city. I vividly remember climbing the stairs in the Rockefeller centre fuelled with excitement to get to the top. I was about to do the Top of the Rock experience where you get to see one of the best views of the city from the top of the Rockefeller centre. I step outside and it was genuinely the most overwhelming and breath-taking view I have ever seen. I could see for miles the dazzling lights and buildings across the city from the peaceful viewing deck, it was truly magical.
What are your suitcase essentials?
A camera would be my ultimate essential, I am a strong believer in capturing all of those beautiful and priceless moments to look back on in the future and remind myself of all of the valuable experiences I have endured. My other essentials would include a hydrating moisturiser and Moroccan oil to keep my hair hydrated against the sun.
Where's next on your wishlist?
The list multiplies on a daily basis as I am constantly inspired and discovering new and exciting places to visit. I am desperate to explore more of South America; Argentina and Peru in particular as it has always been on my bucket list to visit Machu Picchu and walk the Inca trail.
