Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
There are so many amazing places to choose from, but Hawaii always has a special place in my heart. Each island has it’s own personality and highlights. Some of my best memories are taking a helicopter tour through Kauai’s Waimea Canyon, where they filmed the opening titles of Jurassic Park, and watching the sunrise from the top of the Haleakala volcano, you can’t explain how amazing the views were.
What's your oddest travel moment?
I was in Japan on one of the Cruise Ships I was working on. I went into the historic city of Kyoto with a videographer to film a television show for the ship. When we were filming in the heart of the city, a group of local Geisha in full costume came up to us and wanted selfies with us! Maybe they saw us filming and thought we were celebrities. It’s weird to think that we are somewhere in someone’s photo album!
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
The first time I walked into Sydney Harbour. I would call this a perfect travel moment, because it was the fulfilment of a lifelong ambition to visit Australia and Sydney Harbour is as beautiful and vibrant as you imagine it to be. Since then I have been fortunate to work for two years in Australia and go back to Sydney many times on personal trips and sitting in the harbour, underneath the Opera House, with a glass of cold Australian wine in hand is still a moment of bliss for me.
What are your suitcase essentials?
My iPhone. I never leave home without it. Always at hand to capture amazing pictures and videos, but also it is great to be able to find local restaurants or attractions and, of course, online translation apps can be amazingly helpful.
Where's next on your wishlist?
I spent almost ten years living in Florida and I got to visit a lot of the United States, but I would still love to do the ultimate coast to coast road trip. Every city in the USA has it’s own personality and you can never run out of places to go and visit. I want to go to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and the Grand Canyon too.
