Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
The best place I have stayed has to be The Viceroy Bali. It’s an incredibly beautiful property perched on the hills in Ubud, Bali. It has such a personal feel to it and is so nice to see the family who built it, still run the hotel. The food here is absolutely amazing and is designed by chefs from all over the world, they even have famous international chefs cook here on some occasions. Not only is the food amazing but the setting of the hotel is just stunning, the best thing for me was having breakfast in our room on the balcony overlooking the valley and then going for a morning dip in our private pool.
What's your oddest travel moment?
I was on a boat trip in Egypt and we stopped to snorkel around a ship wreck when the guide that took us pointed out a huge fish in the distance. We swam towards it trying to get a closer look until he realised it was a white tip oceanic shark, I have never seen a group of people swim back to the boat so quick in all my life
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
My perfect travel moment has to be when I decided it was a good idea to abseil down Table Mountain in Cape Town. The abseil is the highest commercial abseil in the world and at over 3500ft high the views are incredible but it’s not for the faint hearted. Whilst I was waiting for my turn to be strapped into the harness I was waiting on the edge of the mountain just hooked on by my safety rope and it was silent, all I could here was the wind and my heart beat but the views over Cape Town was just breath taking.
What are your suitcase essentials?
I will never travel without an extension lead, you never get enough plugs in hotels. I will also always make sure I never go away without my supply of skin care and most importantly a camera to capture the memories of where I am visiting.
Where's next on your wishlist?
Having only sampled South Africa with Cape Town I would love to return to be able to explore this amazing country. I would also love the opportunity to explore more of the Far East, especially Vietnam and Cambodia.
