Where's the best place you've ever stayed?

There are so many to choose from, each with their own wow factor but I have to say my favourite place of all has to be Las Vegas. Its somewhere I thought I would hate big brash and very in your face and it is all of that but the bright lights just draw you in and it’s a fabulous place that has to be seen to be believed. It has something for everyone and it’s the only place that as soon as I returned home I booked to go again.

What's your oddest travel moment?

I think the oddest holiday has to be Goa in India having not been anywhere like that before it was definitely a culture shock. The first day we walked to beach we had just got settled on our sunbeds and I turned to my friend and said ‘did we just walk past three stray cows and an elephant’ and after that every day was a surreal but fantastic experience.

Have you had a perfect travel moment?

So many to choose from but I think it has to be taking a light aircraft flight over the Grand Canyon the views are just amazing. We then topped this off with the night helicopter flight over the strip just the best way to see Vegas.

What are your suitcase essentials?

I have been known to take a bikini for every day, but the essentials have to be mosquito spray, first aid kit and antihistamines. I have also learnt that you need at least one pair of sensible shoes wherever you go.

Where's next on your wishlist?

I have not yet been to the Maldives so I think that has to be next on the list. I would love to go to Kandolhu it just looks so perfect and ticks all the boxes for me. After that it has to be safari I would love Tanzania with a beach stay on Zanzibar.

Leanne’s passion for travel came when she became a travel apprentice when leaving school and has since been in the business for over 20 years and could not see herself doing anything else. She loves all types of holidays from sightseeing to skiing but must admit her favourite is lying on the beach with a book in one hand and a cocktail in the other.
