Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
The one that pops into my mind straight away is Athens, Greece. When looking out of the hotel window I had a perfect view of the Acropolis, topped with the ancient Parthenon, which was a very impressive sight. All the tourist spots were in a close vicinity which meant that you could spend the day really immersing yourself in the history. Having said that, a very close second would have to be the view of the Hollywood sign from my hotel room in LA, it had been on my bucket list for ages!
What's your oddest travel moment?
My friend and I were walking around Chiang Mai early evening one day just exploring as we had only arrived earlier that day. We stumbled upon a small Irish bar that was playing the rugby and decided to head inside to watch it. We quickly started talking to the owner and his friend who were both from London originally but now lived In Chiang Mai and Bali. We ended up staying in the bar till about 5am talking to everybody, sharing travel stories, and trying a couple of the cocktails. It was an unexpected outcome for the evening and we left with some fantastic recommendations for the rest of our time there!
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
So many to choose from! However, my absolute favourite moment would have to be when I visited Lake Bled, Slovenia with my partner. The views of the lake were like something out of a fairy-tale, absolutely breath taking and an experience I would recommend to everybody.
What are your suitcase essentials?
I always take a travel diary with me everywhere I go and try to write in it every day. This way I will never forget a single memory and can show my family or friends when I return home. I also always make sure I have plenty of factor 50 sun cream packed. I am very fair skinned with red hair so I burn very easily!
Where's next on your wishlist?
I have a top 5 on my bucket list which are New Zealand, Bali, Peru, China, and The Maldives. I currently have a goal to visit as many countries in Europe as possible, so my next stop will be somewhere there!
