Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
That's a really hard question as I have been fortunate enough to travel to so many beautiful places, but if I really had to choose one, it would be have to be the Serena Maasai Mara. Waking up to the sounds of the Mara, set upon a hilltop looking down at giraffes and elephants, or chilling in the evening with a glass of wine knowing that nearby there is an abundance of wildlife waiting to be photographed.
What's your oddest travel moment?
This comes to my mind instantly - it was last year during a trip to the Galapagos Islands. I was happily lounging on a sunbed for an hour and I had decided to go to the bar to get a drink. When I came back, there was a sea lion on my sunbed looking very comfortable and had no intention of moving! I decided my only option was to find another sunbed!
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
It was during a trip to the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia - we were staying in a tented camp but decided to camp out under the stars in our swags, Australian style! We had a camp fire going and were enjoying a few beers and fell asleep. We were woken by a strange noise and after adjusting our eyes, we noticed that we were surrounded by Kangaroo's - a moment I will never forget and will probably never experience again.
What are your suitcase essentials?
Has to be my Kindle for the long flights and camera to snapshot every memory that I love from my travels.
Where's next on your wishlist?
My number one destination that I would love to travel to is Vietnam. I love the sights, smells, and sensations that the Far East has to offer and the destination fascinates me after selling and talking about it for so many years.
"Thank you Keira for all your help, hard work and kindness in helping us finally decide on this trip!"
