Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
It has to be Four Seasons Kuda Huraa and Four Seasons Laanda Giraavaru in the Maldives. I was lucky enough to experience both islands! I had my own beach villa with plunge pool at Kuda Huraa and the occupancy was very low so it was like a private island with just a handful of people. Being big on customer service myself I have high expectations . . . they were met and exceeded! They could not have treated us better, we felt like kings and queens. The food was utterly amazing, the Indian restaurant is run by an amazing chef from FS Mumbai and I ate 12 of his tandoori king prawns! It doesn't get any better!
What's your oddest travel moment?
I had the pleasure to go on one of the huge cruise ship's inaugural cruise, and they had warned us that some finishing touches would be taking place during the day. Whilst laying in bed one night, an annoying sawing noise came from the cabin above ﾖ it went on for about 20 minutes until I rang concierge and asked for someone to stop sawing as it was keeping us awake, thinking 'this is a joke, it's 1am'. They sent a steward to the cabin and he said 'that noise?' and we said yes that sawing noise. He opened the wardrobe door and pointed out the hangers going back and forth with the rock of the ship. Ooops!
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
Eating (I'm all about the food) dinner in a beautiful old palace in Marrakech where incense smoke twisted through the open roof to the stars above, while men strummed on guitars and gently played the bongos, we sat at a stone table and were served fragrant chicken tagine followed by seafood pastille. . . Moroccan heaven.
What are your suitcase essentials?
My Evian water spray ﾖ when I use it everyone wants a go, it is pressurised so remains cold at all temperatures! My music, I love to turn on my iPod and watch the world go by.
Where's next on your wishlist?
Vietnam - I really want to experience the culture and enchantment of this old sacred land. I would also love to ride a rickshaw in Jaipur and walk its dusky, multi-coloured streets. I quite fancy a climb up Mt Kilamajaro but am scared at the same time! Every time I sell a destination that excites me I then go home and add it to my list. It's vast.
