Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
One of the best places I have stayed was on the border of South Africa and Botswana in Madikwe national park. We stayed in large, open plan lodge and would spend the day going on safari trying to spot The Big 5. Elephants had a watering hole nearby and the would often walk past our balcony during the day and say hello.
What's your oddest travel moment?
One of my oddest travel moments was ticking off karaoke in Japan from my bucket list! I opted for a classic, 'It's not unusual', by Tom Jones. It went about as well as expected, but it led to a memorable night. I carried on the night talking to locals and travellers alike, making lasting friendships.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
As a keen skier some of the best memories that I have are from days on the mountain. Making sure to take the routes less travelled is essential and skiing through fresh powder is an experience that you won't forget.
What are your suitcase essentials?
Personally I can't travel anywhere without a good book. I always love reading on a beautiful beach. Although normally I'm having too much fun travelling to turn a page!
Where's next on your wishlist?
For a long time I've wanted to visit Cuba, a country rich in history and culture. For me it's got everything, beaches, amazing food and an electric atmosphere. As someone learning Spanish, Central and Latin America was always a no-brainer for me.
