Tell us what you want from your holiday

What would make a perfect holiday? Tell us who is going with you, what airport you'd like to fly from and any other details we may find useful, such as if it's a special occasion.

If we need to get in touch, when is the best time to give you a call about your holiday?

Where's the best place you've ever stayed?

After visiting Dubai I got a real taste for luxury and it’s since then everywhere I go to I ‘subconsciously compare’ to this place. Upon arriving we were greeted with champagne and macaroons (which is always an excellent start!) The hotel was magnificent – so majestic and somehow, the staff appeared just when we needed them! From sand boarding in the desert, soaking up the sunshine on Jumeirah Beach, to shopping around the authentic souks... Dubai really has it all and the trip was nothing short of breath-taking.

What's your oddest travel moment?

Whilst living in America for a year my friends and I decided to stay in the Florida Keys for a few days. The Keys is fairly quaint in comparison to the other states in America and feels completely away from it all. One evening, we were walking down the street for food when I thought I could hear someone call out my name. I thought what a coincidence someone in Key West is also called Harriet. Then I heard my name getting shouted out yet again, so I turn around (to my surprise) and see a friend I used to go to university with sitting in an off-road restaurant. It is a small world after all!

Have you had a perfect travel moment?

Whilst holidaying in Cuba with my family we decided to pay Havana a visit, and it wasn’t until we visited there that I realised how truly lucky I was to be able to see, first-hand, such an iconic city. The city was in such a contrast to other places I had visited – Havana had no flashy modernizations, little advertising and very few cars – giving the city plenty of scope for nostalgia. The bustling (yet humble) atmosphere made my family and I feel very privileged to be a part of it, even if it was for such a short time.

What are your suitcase essentials?

Coconut Oil is my ultimate essential; not only to tame my crazy hair whilst abroad, but I also use it as after sun, moisturiser and even to relieve mosquito bites. Teabags are another crucial item for me because not everywhere is as dependent on tea as us British are and I need at least one before 10am to function. Lastly, a big colourful scarf due to its versatility; I use it on the plane to keep me warm when travelling and then transform it into a sarong for the beach when I’m there. However, despite the essentials, I generally just try to cram as much as possible into my suitcase!

Where's next on your wishlist?

The list multiplies daily, I only need to hear someone tell me about their holiday and it’s already mentally written down in my head of where to go next. But a place I’ve always wanted to visit is South Africa. I’d love to go on safari and get the chance to see zebras, giraffes, lions and hippos in their natural habitat. Also – the daredevil in me is pining to cage dive with great white sharks... And where better than South Africa?!

Harriet’s first ever time on a plane was when she was 4 months old and it was ever since then that she has been diagnosed with the travel bug. Harriet studied Tourism Management at university, and within her degree went to live in Florida and New York for one year to intern at Country Clubs.
