Where's the best place you've ever stayed?

I have been lucky enough to stay in some fabulous places around the world but so far my favourite would have to be Kauri Cliffs in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. Our suite was enormous with its own roaring fire, natural furnishings and picture-perfect views of the Bay of Islands. The super lodge offered a spa in the middle of the forest, private coastal walks and waterfall trips, plus acres of land to play golf, mountain bike or fish (to name a few). The intimate dining experience at Kauri Cliffs was unforgettable with the best fish and New Zealand wine I have ever tried!

What's your oddest travel moment?

My husband and I travelled around Africa on our honeymoon and my oddest travel moment would have to be when we crossed the border between Uganda and Rwanda. We had expected to fill out the usual paperwork at every check point in Africa but at this border control our 4x4 was shaken by lots of men shouting out rates, competing for our money. This is known as ムcurrency exchange' in these parts of Africa; very different to popping down to the local post office for your holiday money.

Have you had a perfect travel moment?

Yes, I travelled around the whole of Morocco with some girlfriends. We visited a place in the south called Ouarzazate to access a more remote part of the Sahara Desert where we hiked to the top of sand dunes and flew back down on snowboards and skis. A vivid memory is sitting right at the top of one of the highest dunes (exhausted) watching the sunset with some of the local children who came to join in.

What are your suitcase essentials?

I never leave home without wet wipes, mosquito repellent and vitamin B1. Depending on the country I am visiting, I try to take colouring pens or something for the local children.

Where's next on your wishlist?

Working in travel, your wish list increases every week but I am desperate to visit Latin America, in particular Costa Rica and the Galapagos as I love wildlife! I'm also very keen to explore the history, beauty and adventure that Vietnam and Cambodia have to offer.

"The lady that planned my honeymoon was called Fiona. She was truly amazing and made the planning easy and without any stress. So bubbly and looked after me well!"

Fiona's passion for travel began when she was upgraded to First Class on a British Airways flight to Orlando on a family holiday as a child. She later spent a year in Australia, completed a degree in Adventure Tourism Management and also took a sabbatical to New Zealand and Malaysia. This was the start of the travel bug!
