Where's the best place you've ever stayed?

I’ve stayed in so many incredible places but the best has got to be a resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The resort has the most gorgeous grounds that back onto a perfect beach, amazing cocktails, a casino, a top spa and so so much more. The variety of food throughout seven restaurants meaning there is something for everyone! I loved this resort so much that it’s one of the only places that I have returned too.

What's your oddest travel moment?

When I was visiting India I had the pleasure of staying in an elephant sanctuary overnight, spending two days looking after the gorgeous elephants. I walked them, fed and washed them, watched them play and sleep. I even swam with them! When sunset hit the jungle I was given the chance to go in the lake with two of the elephants, I was given a coconut shell by the elephants mahouts and told to rub the elephants skin with them. Before I knew it I was massaging an elephant in a lake in the middle of the jungle !

Have you had a perfect travel moment?

Several years ago I visited Barbados, the trip was for two weeks and for the entire duration my sunbeds on the beach were next to hundreds of eggs and I had no idea what kind they were. On the last day we were sat in reception waiting for our airport transfer when a member of staff called us to the beach. We arrived to find hundreds of baby turtles hatching and we were able them to the sea!

What are your suitcase essentials?

I always make sure I have my phone to capture every moment and to listen to music on along the way. I love reading whilst I’m away so a book is always in my bag to occupy me on the journeys. Call me old fashioned but I love a guide book about where I’m going too. Oh and I can’t forget a lot of high factor sun-cream as the sun turns me many shades of red!

Where's next on your wishlist?

My wish list grows on a daily basis and it’s not in any particular order ! Hawaii, The Maldives and Bora Bora are places I’ve always dreamed of. I’d love to stay at Giraffe Manor in Kenya and do a safari as I love elephants! But my next adventure will be a multi centre trip to LA, Vegas and San Francisco, which is very exciting!
