Where's the best place you've ever stayed?

The best place I ever stayed was at a beautiful 5 star hotel in Cancun, Mexico. The room was facing the turquoise sea and white sandy beach and the sun never stopped shining the whole time I was there. At night I viewed the most fantastic sunsets whilst relaxing in my hammock on my balcony with an early evening cocktail. Just perfect.

What's your oddest travel moment?

My family and I were leaving our hotel in New York to travel back to the airport. The concierge offered to book us a taxi and as we waited, a beautiful stretch limousine pulled up in front of us. It was the only car available and rather than leave us waiting, they decided that this was our transfer. We felt like royalty as we arrived at JFK as others passengers gathered round to see which celebrities would emerge from the car.

Have you had a perfect travel moment?

Last year I went on a Cruise for a special anniversary. My perfect travel moment was waking up, going out on to the balcony and seeing the spectacular Greek island of Santorini across the sparkling sea. The early morning sun was dancing on the tiny blue and white houses on the cliff tops whilst the pink and purple bougainvillea enhanced the whole picture in front of me. It was breath-taking.

What are your suitcase essentials?

I never leave home without my hair straighteners (then end up not using them due to the humidity abroad). I make sure I have sun screen, mascara, a sarong and my trusted trainers.

Where's next on your wishlist?

Definitely the Maldives or Mauritius.
