Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
It has to be The New Yorker, Wyndham Hotel in New York since it was right in the heart of the city. The art deco theme is stunning as soon as you step into the lobby, whilst not forgetting to mention that the Tick Tock restaurant is a nice little spot for a hearty American breakfast in the morning. Everything is within walking distance including the subway, Madison Square Gardens, Macy’s, The Empire State, Times Square… the list goes on!
What's your oddest travel moment?
Spending the best part of two hours trying to find six kangaroos located on a grassland called Heirisson Island in Perth, Australia. A quite surreal experience, as you get to see the Australian wilderness just a few steps away from the city, whilst wandering around freely or having a picnic with some kangaroos and their joeys.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
My perfect travel moment is definitely staying in Uluwatu, Bali spending most sunsets lounging around Balangan Beach enjoying great Indonesia food. My favourite after my meal was the fried banana desert and the national beer Bintang but with a twist - Bintang Radler is lemon flavoured! Since I'm not a fan of beer this was definitely a great alternative for me! The coastal views were amazing with limestone cliffs and rock formations along the sand. One evening I had my first-ever Balinese massage, which lasted an hour, beside the pool whilst the sun was setting and it only costed roughly 15 pounds which was an absolute bargain.
What are your suitcase essentials?
I always bring my 3 cameras: my Canon 750D for the spectacular sights and nature; my Go Pro Hero 6 for all the thrill, action and underwater activities and my Fujifilm Polaroid Mini 9 for an authentic vintage style photo of all the hidden gems and the people I’m with and meet along the way. I always pack between 5-10 bikinis and swimsuits and I like to travel in style so I like to pack a statement outfit per day.
Where's next on your wishlist?
The wish list is endless and changes constantly, but I would love to go on a safari in South Africa or Kenya. I’m also keen on visiting Japan for the food, the architecture and its unique culture. I might as well squeeze in island hopping around the Caribbean Islands too!
