Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
When we chartered a yacht to sail round the Ionian Islands in Greece with my family. Each day brought a new adventure and between the beautiful picturesque islands we visited, the amazing cuisine and the crystal clear lagoons we got to swim in, we were absolutely spoilt. It also brought us closer together as a family.
What's your oddest travel moment?
My oddest travel moment would have to be when I was sitting enjoying a cocktail in the Maldives, taking in the stunning sunset. I was so relaxed, and had seen a large bird fly over my head. Moments later I got hit by something wet and bright orange on my leg ﾖ it was disgusting! I then realised that it was not a bird but a large fruit bat that had done this to me! I'm hoping it is still lucky.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
When I was in Australia, we stayed in Currumbin, on the Gold Coast. Our apartment was right on the beach and we were able to wander down in the morning as soon as the sun woke us. The first day I was in the sea with my brother and he shouted 'Daisy, there's a shark'! I turned around and a couple of metres away was a beautiful dolphin swimming past me. It was amazing, but to this day I don't know if my brother really thought it was a shark or if he was winding me up. Earlier this year however I also got to swim with sharks in the Maldives, and this is something I will never forget.
What are your suitcase essentials?
When I'm travelling I like to fit a lot into a smaller case. I have these amazing clear plastic bags which you put your clothes in, then seal, then roll and the air comes out of them. Even on the return when you are throwing everything in your case quickly it helps make extra space and is less stressful.
Where's next on your wishlist?
I have become a big fan of Vietnam recently. I would love to do a tour from the north to the south, then stay on one of the beaches for a few days. I have also fallen in love with the Six Senses resorts worldwide, with Yao Noi in Thailand at the top of my list. Who can resist those villas with a view like that!
