Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
I have to say from my travels so far there are two places that have captured my heart, Kenya and Mexico. I recently took adventure on a safari in Kenya, it was the most amazing trip and I really felt like I was in a scene of the lion king. One morning on our game drive we stopped in the middle of the Mara just as the sun was rising and I have to say it is the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen. It was cub season when I went and one afternoon we had asked our driver to find us some lion cubs, to which he sped off through the jungle until we come to the marsh area where we could see 5 lion cubs all running and playing around in the marsh land, it was such a special moment. I also fell in love with Mexico after a recent trip there. The crystal blue waters and glistening white sands are picture postcard. The people there are really friendly and did everything they could to make sure I had a perfect stay. There’s nothing like a traditional Mexican meal whilst overlooking the Caribbean sea whilst listening to the Mariachi band play.
What's your oddest travel moment?
My oddest travel moment would be when I decided to take a holiday just before Christmas to St Lucia. I had never been away this time of year before. I remember laying on my sun lounger with a cocktail to hand then all of a sudden I could hear Christmas music coming from the hotel lobby where they were putting up all their Christmas decorations. I felt very weird as it was 30 degrees and not freezing temperatures like it would be at home.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
Whilst in Kenya I was extremely lucky to get to experience a hot air balloon safari. Soaring high in the sky over the Mara watching the sunrise to the left of me, and the animals running wild beneath me and then landing in the middle of the Mara and having a picnic breakfast whilst the animals roam around me. It could not have been anymore perfect!
What are your suitcase essentials?
I will always pack my iPod and my travel speakers when I go on holiday so I can relax and unwind listening to my favourite music either on my balcony whilst sipping on a cocktail enjoying the views or on my sun lounger watching the world go by. My camera is also a must have so I can capture those special moments.
Where's next on your wishlist?
I would love to experience Australia and do some travelling whilst I was there. It is such a big place and it has something to offer everyone. I would love to go to Australia Zoo and snorkel
