Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
The best place I have ever stayed is The Maldives; this was pure relaxation and luxury. From my beach villa I stepped straight onto an amazing, private golden sandy beach. The restaurants served international food cuisine so there was also a good selection to choose from. When I wanted more, there were water sports available or had the option to go on an excursion. I cannot wait to go back.
What's your oddest travel moment?
My oddest travel moment was when I hired a car in Majorca and decided to visit the Safari park with my husband and children. Whilst going through the monkey area they started to take pieces off of the car and take them away... When I was at the end of the park I had to ask the rangers to go back in and collect the parts for my car before I could return it. It was a surreal moment and I would never I thought that one of the highlights of our holiday would have been playing ‘piece the car back together again’. Thankfully the car went back together and was returned, living to drive another day.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
My perfect travel moment is a candlelit dinner on the beach in The Maldives. After the sun had gone down there was a beautiful table set with candles, champagne and soft music. We were the only two (myself and my hubby) on the beach or that we could really see. We had a fantastic meal and followed the most spectacular experience of renewing our vows in the most idyllic of settings. The only other people that we saw that evening where our waiters.
What are your suitcase essentials?
I have two suitcase essentials - the first is always a good pair of trainers as I love walking and exploring whilst on holiday, comfortable footwear is a must! My second is always a good book for those lazy days where all the pool calls.
Where's next on your wishlist?
Next on my wish list is Sri Lanka, not only does this destination have historic places to visit but has National Parks, amazing landscapes and beautiful beaches. I would love the experience of seeing the men that fish on stilts out at sea.
