Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
I think I would have to say New York. The city totally took my breath away. We went late November so we really got the Christmas experience, however we took all our winter clothes but we got 5 days of glorious sunshine! We stayed in a little Irish hotel which served the most amazing Irish breakfast! The city is so vast with tons of places to explore and many hidden gems. It's a place I would definitely visit again as there is just too much to see in one trip.
What's your oddest travel moment?
Probably when I went to Africa. We were on a safari in the Masai Mara. We got to our camp and stayed the night in a beautiful campsite, however we had guests..... Giant Lizards! I tried to explain to the staff that the tent must be broken as these lizards had got in, however the told me this was part of the experience. I spent the night re arranging my bed so they wouldn't jump on me.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
Yes! From a young age me and my family always used to go to Captiva Island in Florida every year. As we all got older we stopped, however last year we all went back again. All of us arrived on different flights but it was just the perfect moment all being together again and having the best holiday all together.
What are your suitcase essentials?
Tons of books, I'm a real bookworm when on holiday. A pair of good trainers in case you want to go out and do something adventurous (Flip flops are no use when zip wiring) and a decent camera to catch all of your great holiday moments.
Where's next on your wishlist?
I would love to visit somewhere like Thailand or Bali as I haven't seen this part of the world yet. I would also love to see more of the Greek Islands like Santorini or Mykonos.
