Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
It was Kayakoy in Turkey, set in the middle of a peaceful valley with a backdrop of an old abandoned Greek village. I stayed in a private villa with our own pool, a garden and many fruit trees. The son of the owners would leave fresh bread and fruit out for us every morning. We ate in a wonderful traditional Turkish restaurant only a short walk away. Where we sat in a garden surrounded by olive trees. They would come and cook the food next to us. The food was amazing such an authentic experience.
What's your oddest travel moment?
I went for a drive up a mountain next to the Blue Lagoon in Oludeniz to see it all lit up on the evening. We got out of the car so that we could see better. We were taking pictures and I heard a noise in a ruined hut nearby. It was a really big Wild Boar and it wasn't happy we were there, it then started charging at us. I have never ran so fast back to the car. I definitely wasn't expecting that.
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
I have had many and I still have many more to come as for me it's that moment when you are looking at a stunning view with the sun shinning on you face and all you can hear is the crickets of bees flying past.
What are your suitcase essentials?
I would definitely take my Nivea body lotion , sunglasses and an extra pair of flip-flops as I live in them as soon as I get to the airport.
Where's next on your wishlist?
First on my list would definately be a tour around India as there is so much I would love to see. One thing I would like to see is the Holi festival it looks like great fun. A very close second would be an African Safari at the Shamwari Game Reserve or The Kariega Game Reserve. The list keeps growing with working for Kuoni I'm always seeing new places I'd like to visit.
