Where's the best place you've ever stayed?
Coco Bodu Hithi in the Maldives. I stayed in a Water Villa with my own private pool. The room was beautiful with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on to the Indian Ocean where I spotted turtles and schools of colourful fish. The restaurant was amazing and the buffet offers you everything you could possibly think of. It felt like I was in paradise!
What's your oddest travel moment?
Whilst visiting a temple in Penang, a monk offered to give me a blessing. Half way through the blessing, he stopped to ask if I knew Victoria. My puzzled look on my face showed the monk I had no idea who he was talking about so he continued and said, ﾀﾘyou know, with Baby Harper?' I asked if he meant Victoria Beckham - in which he replied he did! I explained she was very famous, but I had never met her. He looked very disappointed and finished the blessing. I couldn't believe what had just happened!
Have you had a perfect travel moment?
My perfect moment was climbing to the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge and seeing the 360 degree view of Sydney. Climbing the 1332 steps was definitely worth it, to look out over the Sydney Opera House whilst the sun set in the distance.
What are your suitcase essentials?
I always end up looking for a chemist when I am away, so I have a ﾀﾘwhat if' bag in my suitcase which contains nail varnish and nail varnish remover, burn cream, Sudocrem, antihistamines, talcum powder, plasters and pain killers. I have everything covered for that ﾀﾘwhat if' moment.
Where's next on your wishlist?
Every time I pick up a Kuoni brochure I change my mind! My top two at the moment are Mara Bushtops in Kenya - the luxurious tents look amazing and I'm sure seeing the animals in their natural habitat is an experience of its own. I also keep looking at tours of India to visit the Taj Mahal and have my photo taken outside like Princess Diana. If you ask me in a few weeks' time, I'm sure this will have changed and I will fancy somewhere else!
